Upper Aljunied Road will be closed to transform to Bidadari Park

by Laura Lim

Two sections of Upper Aljunied Road will be permanently closed from this Sunday, (March 12) for development of Bidadari Heritage Walk to preserve the history and heritage of the estate.

The junction at Upper Serangoon Road and Upper Aljunied Road will be removed. Barricades and diversion signs will be put up to guide motorists. A new realigned Upper Aljunied Road will open to traffic from the same day with an additional lane in each direction where motorists can expect smoother traffic on the new road.

The 700m Heritage Walk will connect the future Alkaff Lake with Upper Aljunied Road (South), which creates a park for residents to walk and cycle safely around the estate.
